PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Secure Space Construction Coordination Manager is responsible for the material take-off, procurement and scheduling coordination with the Controlled Access Area (CAA) Superintendent at the project site required to successfully complete the construction of the CAA portion of the project on schedule and within budget.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordination with Engineering Department Head as well in home office
  • Coordination with CAA Superintendent at project sites as well as overall Project Manager, Engineer and Superintendents
  • Responsible for creating / coordinating the development of Bill of Material for all of the disciplines required to complete the CAA space per contract documents
  • Develop the construction schedule for CAA space in conjunction with project site teams
  • Responsible for determining requirements for Cleared Labor with the project site management team
  • Review designs and prepare cost estimates for CAA construction
  • Developing purchase requisitions for CAA materials
  • Responsible for coordination of procurement of all materials for CAA space
  • Review of submittals for CAA materials
  • Maintain and plan reports
  • Enforce security and quality-control policies
  • Monitor expenses to ensure that they are meeting budget
  • Maintain records of material and labor costs
  • Track the inventory of supplies and materials to ensure that vital materials are ordered and delivered to meet schedule
  • Direction and day-to-day coordination of trade contractors and vendors to ensure they turn out high-quality work that meets the approved project schedule
  • Understand security procedures for construction of CAA space and enforce those rules
  • Maintain satisfactory relationships with clients, subcontractors & vendors
  • Ability to work in a team environment with other Project Managers, Engineers and Superintendents
  • Other duties as assigned by Operations Manager

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in engineering, construction or architecture
  • Active Secret level U.S. security clearance
  • 6 or more years of commercial/nonresidential construction engineering / management experience
  • Overseas Building Operations (OBO) experience
  • Knowledge, skill, and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards
  • Knowledge and experience with DOS CAA space and/or ICD 705 construction requirements
  • Must be willing to travel overseas

PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS:
Reaching above and below, stooping and bending.  Lifting/carrying/moving 1 to 15 pounds of weight in the form of paper, boxes, files, etc.  Manual dexterity to operate office equipment, filing, and perform specialized skills.  Requires a high degree of concentration in a busy office environment.


WORKING CONDITIONS:
Contract requires 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.  Schedules may be modified to better accommodate business needs. Flexibility with hours is required.
